One of Ennis major traffic congestion hotspots is set to be eased today.
The town’s Inner Relief Road linking Station Road at Madden’s Furniture to Friar’s Walk and The Clare Road at Cathedral Court officially opens later this morning.

Built at a cost of 360 thousand euro, its hoped the 180 metre stretch will alievate the traffic build up during peak times in Clare’s County Town.
A new Coach Park located at The Friar’s Walk which features 14 spaces, on-site facilities and a drop-off / pick-up bus shelter 100m from the town centre will also be unveiled.
Mayor of Ennis – Clr Peter Considine believes it will benefits will be multi fold .
