Opposition leaders will later today have a chance to respond to the Taoiseach’s Address to the Nation.
Less than 24 hours later, three mini addresses will be made by representatives from Fianna Fail, Sinn Fein and the Dáil’s Technical Group.
Fianna Fail leader Michael Martin will have a four-minute slot following the news at 9 pm – and Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams will speak for three minutes after the 6 pm news broadcast.

Seven of the 16 members in the Dáil technical group expressed an interest in speaking for three minutes ahead of the news at 6pm – Independent TD for Donegal Thomas Pringle’s name was ‘pulled from a hat’.
