Iarnrod Eireann has confirmed that ‘working pro-actively’ on the development of a railway station at Crusheen.
The rail authority says it is working in conjunction with the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, Clare County Council and a local developer towards adding the stop to the Western Rail Corridor.
The announcement comes as Iarnrod Eireann reveals that the first month’s operations of the new rail-line have exceeded expectations, with over 30,000 passenger journeys.
