The Department of the Environment has allocated over 1.1 million euro towards the flood response in County Clare.
Clare County Council had submitted a bill for almost 700,000 euro to cover the cost of November’s flood relief efforts in Ennis, Clonlara, Sixmilebridge, Carron and other areas, but will require further funds to repair damaged homes and to prevent further flooding in future.

Clare Fianna Fail TD Timmy Dooley is pleased to see the government playing its part in supporting the work of the local authority with funds of one million, one hundred and forty five thousand euro and is hoping further assistance will be forthcoming.
