New reports have shown that overspending and overcrowding remain issues at the MidWest's main hospital.
The latest performance figures from the HSE show that nearly 150 adults and another 84 children have been waiting over 8 months for inpatient or day case care at University Hospital Limerick.

111 patients are waiting the same period of time for day case care at Ennis General.
Meanwhile, University Hospital Limerick reports the highest overspend of any hospital in the country up until the end of July.
It has exceeded its budget by over €17 million – Ennis General is inside its limit by €105,000.
