Clare patients are being urged not to attend the A&E at Ennis General this afternoon due to serious overcrowding.
The HSE says there’s been an unprecedented attendance at the local emergency centre in Clare’s County Hospital and that its now operating well over capacity.
Due to the extreme pressure being experienced by nursing staff management is urging patients to attend their GPs, except in cases of genuine emergency.
