Gardaí have seized a quantity of illegal fireworks at a house in Kilrush.
A house in the Wood Road area was searched under warrant last Saturday night, when the discovery was made and a man was subsequently questioned.
No arrest was made and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Traditionally at this time of year, the sale or supply of illegal fireworks escalates and Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Triona Brooks is urging parents to educate their children on the dangers.
