A Clare priest is calling for parishes around the country to replicate the success of the 'Mercy on the Mall' initiative.
Twenty priests were on hand to offer confessions at the Sky Court Shopping Centre in Shannon yesterday on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

People travelled from throughout the county and country to take part with queues forming outside the four improvised confession boxes.
Shannon Parish Priest, Father Tom Ryan, hopes the success of the event will encourage other communities to consider similar events.
