The New Cathaoirleach of the West Clare Municipal District says he’s hoping to lure people back into rural Ireland.
Fianna Fail Cllr Michael Hillery was elected to suceed Fine Gael’s Bill Slattery in the position at yesterday’s AGM.
He’s highlighted the depopulation of rural Ireland as one of his key focuses after his nomination and says young people are key to addressing the problem.
