Permanent TSB has announced details of a major initiative to get tracker mortgage holders paying off their home loan more quickly.

If a customer adds an extra amount onto their mortgage payments, the bank will add a 10 per cent bonus payment onto that amount.
The bank says it’s open to all their mortgage customers – including those in arrears – who make additional payments of 5000 euro, or multiples of that, until June 17th.
It’s the first bank in Ireland to incentivise the quicker repayment of loss-making tracker mortgages here.
