Meetings of Clare County Council could be about to get a lot shorter.
It follows a vote by elected members to limit the ammount of issues they can raise before each council meeting to just one motion instead of two, in a bid to get though all business in one sitting each month.
Councillors were in favour of the move for a three month trial period as proposed by Killaloe’s Paschal Fitzgerald who rejected suggestions that it would mean less attention for the concerns of Clare residents.
