The number of speed camera zones in Clare have increased by half today.
Following an analysis of a series of road traffic accidents across the country, speed camera zones have been extended to an additional 903 areas nationally, while 500 former speed camera zones have been removed from the list.
There will now be 36 areas in Clare where speed vans may be in operation, and the locations are available on the garda’s website.

But Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Tríona Brooks says the new zones won’t be signposted.
