Kilkee water enthusiasts are hoping the ongoing debacle over the town’s diving equipment will finally come to an end this week.
The results of a safety audit conducted by Irish Water Safety , which is currently with Clare County Council, are expected to be made known today or tomorrow
Its over a month since the diving boards and ladders at several locations in the west Clare seaside town were removed and while the ladders were returned, their future remains uncertain until the findings of the audit is known.
Locals in Kilkee have expressed deep frustration over the ongoing issue at the height of the busy tourist season and town councillor Elaine Haugh Hayes wants it sorted now
