An Post is to put the contract for the recently closed Ardnacrusha Post Office out to tender by the end of this week.
Locals in the community there were taken aback on Monday of last week when the branch closed unexpectedly, with Bridge Street Post Office in Limerick catering for those affected until their own one is back up and running.
But it looks set to be a short-term closure, with the contract advertised to potential bidders now with a closing date of April 18th.
