It’s claimed the closure of six post offices in parts of West Clare is the final straw for a number of communities.
Two community meetings have been held in Lisseycasey and Cooraclare, where committees have been set up to try and come up with a viable solution to retain their local post office service.
Now, a further meeting has been planned in Doonbeg, and will take place this coming Sunday evening.
