Mountshannon National School, which had 64 pupils when inspected in January, was found to offer a high-quality educational experience for all of it's children.
Teaching levels in literacy and numeracy were praised, while parents were found to be highly satisfied.
Inspectors did reccomend that the teaching of Irish be reviewed, to ensure that pupils' reading and writing skills are being developed – the school's board of management opted not to respond to the findings.
