The ESB says around 400 Clare homes and businesses are without power this lunchtime, as it’s crews continue efforts to repair faults caused by yesterday’s storm.
A short time ago, several ESB customers were in the dark on the outskirts of Ennis, in Miltown Malbay, Ennistymon and throughout North Clare.

More have been without power in South Galway, after the area was hit by gusts of around 100 km per hour during yesterday’s storm.
The ESB hopes many of the faults will be cleared by lunchtime, though it could be evening before systems are back to normal.
