Jose Manuel Barroso is paying a flying visit to Clare tomorrow.
The recently re-elected President of the EU Commission is jetting into Shannon to meet with the Joint Oireachtas Committee on European Affairs to discuss how Ireland’s concerns on Lisbon can be addressed.
Barosso’s visit comes just a fortnight before the treaty is due to be voted upon for a second time with the president understood to be anxious to visit the only county on Ireland’s western seaboard to have passed the Treaty previously.
