President Higgins has sent a personal note of thanks to the Clare County Library service to praise their online resources.
The President’s private secretary has written on his behalf to the library staff to say he was pleased to have access to records relating to burials at Fenloe Graveyard in Newmarket on Fergus.
A number of the President’s relatives are buried there, and he spent part of his childhood growing up in nearby Ballycar.

The letter states that the President feels his relatives in Australia, whose parents are part of the records, will also find the resource to be valuable.
