Presidential Elections Could Have More Voters Outside The State

Presidential elections in Ireland could soon have more voters outside the State than within it.

That’s according to figures from the Junior Minister tasked with a referendum on giving a vote to citizens outside the country.

Joe McHugh says 1.8 million people in the North, and 1.8 million citizens overseas, could now be given a vote.
