The celebrant priest at this morning's funeral mass called for an end to the violence.

In his homily Fr Paddy Madden asked people to consider the human face behind each tragedy.

Fr Madden said the gangs should avoid more disaster and seek a hope filled future.

He said breaking the cycle of violence is not easy and that both sides need to display courage, restraint and reason.

Around 200 people attended this morning's funeral – however Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch, Gareth's uncle, is understood not to have been present.

Doves were released as Gareth Hutch's body was brought into the church of the Holy Family on Aughrim St – near the family home.

There was a large garda presence outside the church for the funeral of the 7th victim of Dublin's gang feud.

Gareth Hutch will be buried in Glasnevin Cemetary later.
