Customs and border pre-clearance facilities will be expanded even further at Shannon airport today.
The United States Department of Homeland Security and the US Ambassador, Mr. Dan Rooney, have confirmed that from today, pre-clearance will also apply to US bound private aircraft using at Shannon.
It’s hoped the latest development will have positive knock on effects for traffic and for business in Shannon.
Chairman of the Shannon Airport Authority Brian O’Connell has thanked Transport Minister Noel Dempsey, the Department of Homeland Security and the US Ambassador for their close co-operation in agreeing final operating protocols to expedite today’s opening.
