It’s reported a garda investigation’s underway after an officer – based in west Clare was sent a pig’s head in the post.
According to today Irish Independent the garda received it by registered post in the past few days.
The individual in question is understood to be heavily involved in community work in the region where he works in west Clare and is well regarded of by the community he serves.

Senior officers are now attempting to establish who sent the package.
