Clare County Council says progress has been made in efforts to deal with the issue of derelict buildings on Parnell Street in Ennis.
Following a meeting with traders there in April, the Local Authority has issued orders to owners of a number properties on the street under the Derelict Sites Act.

All but one of the property owners in question has indicated they will carry out works to improve the building.
A grants scheme has also been introduced to encourage businesses in the town to carry out the repair and painting of shop fronts.
