Residents in East Clare are being told that a new bridge to bypass Killaloe is still likely but will take time..
The issue was one of several up for discussion at a joint meeting of members of the Killaloe electoral area and their counterparts in north Tipperary yesterday.
The provision of a proposed new bridge spanning the River Shannon at Killaloe-Ballina to ease heavy traffic congestion has been on ice since September 2008 following the completion of a public consultation process hosted by both local authorities
