The campaign against the Household charge is stepping up in Clare today with protest marches in Ennis and Kilrush.
There’s just over a month left to pay the 100 euro levy, while those wishing to pay in instalments have to register by Thursday next, but groups have been formed in many areas of the county to oppose the tax altogether.
Following many public meetings, protest rallys have been organised in Kilrush and Ennis Town Centres at 2 o’clock today to co-incide with similar demonstrations across the country.
