The soon-to-be-formed government has been urged to stop the passage of US Military troops through Shannon as a matter of urgency.
It comes after the Court of Criminal Appeal quashed the conviction of Mary Kelly, the mother of 4 who caused over 1 million euro of damage to a US Navy Plane at Shannon 8 years ago by attacking it with an axe.
Up to 500 military personnel continue to use the MidWest airport each day, and over 2 million have passed through Shannon over the past 8 years.
