Residents in West Clare are hopeful that flood relief works will be completed in time for the winter.
The OPW is considering two applications, for Cloughaninchy and Quilty West, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks on the Cloughaninchy one.

Quilty has been battered by floods in recent years leading to many being evacuated from their homes.
