He's confident that issues surrounding anti-social behaviour will be resolved.

A number of homes and cars were damaged at a housing estate on Saturday night which has prompted increased Garda Patrols in the area.

A number of residents are meeting with all four of Clare's TDs and Gardaí today in relation to ongoing anti-social behaviour in the area to try and find  solution to the problem.

The Mayor of Ennis Pat Daly has told Clare FM that residents are living in fear in the area and has suggested the introduction of CCTV cameras in an effort to target the problem.

Gardaí are following a definite line of inquiry as part of an active investigation.

Ennis Superintendent Brendan McDonagh says the matter is being treated seriously.

But asked if anti-social activity is a problem across the town of Ennis, Superintendent Mc Donagh said that only isolated incidents have been investigated in Ennis.
