A painting by Irish born artist Francis Bacon has broken the world record for the most expensive piece of art ever sold.
‘Three Studies of Lucian Freud’ went at auction in Christies in New York for over 142 million dollars.

That’s around 22 million dollars more than the previous most expensive work – The Scream by Edvard Munch.
