Record Trolley Numbers At Region’s Main Hospital In March

Nurses say there were record trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital last month.

The latest figures from the INMO show 1,054 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick across the month of March, a 3% rise on the same period last year.

The Dooradoyle facility, which was the busiest hospital in the country once again, also had its second-worst day for overcrowding last month, with 76 people on trolleys on March 19th.
