Region’s Main Hospital Remains One Of The Most Overcrowded In The Country

Nurses say the region's main hospital remains one of the most overcrowded in the country today.

Figures from the INMO show 31 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 20 of those in the emergency department.

The overall figure remains unchanged from yesterday but is lower than University Hospital Cork, where 41 people are waiting on trolleys.

It comes on a day where 345 people waiting for beds at hospital across the country.
