Reilly hits out at Shortall stroke politics claims

The Health Minister is rejecting calls for a fresh explanation to the Dáil on how he added two locations in his constituency to a list of primary care centres.

James Reilly’s under pressure after his former junior minister Roisin Shortall claimed at the weekend he was guilty of stroke politics.

He’s hit back saying she was insulting his constituents by claiming they only way they could get health facilities was through stroke politics.

And he rejected calls from the Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin to come into the Dáil and answer questions.
