It’s hoped Ennis could benefit from a potential twinning with a town in Germany.
Ennis Town Council have fostered links with Langenfeld in North Western Germany, when Mayor Frank Schneider visited Ennis earlier this year.

It’s now hoped that a more permanent twinning of the two towns would bring tourists into the county and give a much needed boost to the region.
Mayor of Ennis, Cllr. Tommy Brennan and a delegation from the town council will fly to Langenfeld this weekend to meet with their German counterparts with a view to developing a partnership and he says the links have already been made.
