A relief fund has been established for Clare farmers still feeling the effects of last year’s wet weather.
Clare IFA is calling on people to contribute to the account, moneys from which will be used to help farmers who find themselves facing critical shortages of fodder and feed.

Efforts to assist those farmers through seminars and clinics are continuing, but farming representatives in the county warn the full impact of last year’s persistent rain will only be felt in the coming months, when farmers feel the financial pinch.
