A report into the severe flooding in Clare, Galway Cork and other parts of the country last November is expected to criticise aspects of the emergency response.
Details of the probe carried out by an Oireachtas Committee is set to be released this afternoon.
It examined the causes of and subsequent response to the flooding which afflicted several areas of Clare including Ennis, South East Clare particularly Clonlara and Shannon Banks and Carron in the north of the county.
The report is expected to find that some aspects of the emergency response were positive, though it will also strongly criticise aspects of the communications, co-ordination and management reaction to the crises.
A number of recommendations are expected to be made, to better deal with future crises.
During its deliberations, the Committee heard from Met Éireann, the ESB and from a number of local authorities, including Clare County Council.
