A Clonlara resident is calling for a decision on whether funding will be provided for flood defence measures in the area to be made as soon as possible.
A number of local families have made applications for part of 500,000 euro in funding which is available to Clare County Council for a defence wall to be build to hold back flood waters.

Geraldine Quinlivan says they are awaiting a response to their request.
And she claims that action is urgently needed to help those most in danger of flooding from being hit again this year.
