Review Of Security Being Carried Out At Shannon In Wake Of Brussels Attacks

It comes as the Department of Foreign Affairs is advising Irish citizens planning on visiting Brussels to delay non-essential travel until the situation has stabilised.

All flights to and from Brussels Zaventem were cancelled yesterday but the airport is due to re-open this morning.

Chief Superintendent John Kerin says Gardaí are constantly monitoring security arrangements at Shannon and procedures may have to be beefed up in the wake of these atrocities.
