British Actor Richard Briers has died at the age of 79.
The star, known to millions for his role in TV sitcoms like The Good Life and Ever Decreasing Circles had been battling a serious lung condition.

He also starred as Hector in Monarch of The Glen, appeared in a number of television dramas including Midsomer Murders while he was also known for his Shakespearean roles in various stage and screen productions of King Lear, Twelfth Night, Much Ado about Nothing and Hamlet.
The actor’s agent says he died peacefully at his London home yesterday.
