There's been an almost 29% rise in new car registrations in Co. Clare so far this year.
A total of 1,969 were registered in the county between January and March, compared to 1,527 in the same period in 2015.

Figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show the growth in Clare just ahead of the national average with total new car registrations for the year up 28 percent nationwide.
Over 21 and a half thousand cars were registered in Ireland during the month of March alone, and Director General of the SIMI Alan Nolan says this indicates a continuing resurgence in the motor industry both in Clare and nationwide.
