Post-mortem examinations are expected to be carried out this morning on the remains of two people killed in a crash in South East Clare in the early hours of yesterday.
The pair lost their lives while two men in their 20s were hospitalised with serious injuries following the single-vehicle crash in Parteen.
Gardaí were called to the scene shortly after midnight, where the car had become engulfed in flames.

Gardaí at Mayorstone are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the Parteen area around that time to contact them on 061 456 980.
