Road users are being warned to take extra care on the roads this week as temperatures fall here, as they are across Europe.
Ireland won’t be as badly affected by the cold front coming in from Siberia as parts of central Europe are – dozens of people there have died as a results of the freezing conditions.

However, Met Éireann has predicted that temperatures will continue to fall as the week goes on – and falls of sleet and snow are expected.
