Northern Ireland’s First Minister has welcomed the announcement that next year’s G8 summit will take place in Co. Fermanagh.
Peter Robinson said British Prime Minister David Cameron’s announcement today is indicative of his confidence in Northern Ireland.

The 2013 event will see world leaders – including Angela Merkel and US President Barrack Obama – as well as their advisors and an international media pack arrive at the Lough Erne golf resort.
It’s prompted speculation that President Obama will be approached to make a second Southern visit, either before or after the summit.
