Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary is set to be asked to tell Clare County Council his future plans for Shannon airport.
The Council has discussed a motion which would ask Mr O’Leary to address the council directly on his plans for the MidWest airport, but held back on making a decision until after a meeting between a Council delegation and the Shannon Airport Authority.
Some Councillors argued that Michael O’Leary could use the proposed visit as a publicity stunt but Labour Party Councillor Pascal Fitzgerald, who proposed the motion, says he just wants answers
