Plans by Ryanair to increase its flights through Shannon Airport is being broadly welcomed
The no frills airline is opening new routes from Ireland to the Canaries next year.
This includes an extra service between Shannon and Fuerteventura.

The low cost carrier is also opening new bases in Gran Canaria Lanzarote and Tenerife as part of a 400 million euro investment.
The announcement has been welcomed by Fine Gael Councillor for Shannon, Sean McLoughlin, who hopes it’s a sign of things to come.
