A County Clare Prison Officer facing drugs charges has been charged with two more drug offences.
Last March, 51 year old Thomas Corry from Aughrim, Scarrif, Co Clare was accused of having quantities of cannabis resin and cocaine for the
purpose of sale or supply at Roxboro Road on March 16th.
Limerick District Court Garda Monica Reilly gave evidence of charging Thomas Corry with two new charges.
It is now alleged that as well as being in possession of cannabis resin and cocaine the 51 year old also had quantities of the
prescription drugs Alprazolam and Diazepam for the purpose of sale or supply on March 16th.
Inspector Seamus Nolan said the DPP has directed that the case should be dealt with on indictment at Limerick Circuit Criminal Court.
Judge O’Donnell granted an adjournment to allow for the preparation of the Book of Evidence and remanded Mr Corry on bail until September
9th.
The Judge also granted Thomas Corry free legal aid, after a statement of means was lodged.
