School costs hit 800 euro

A new study shows the cost of getting a child ready for primary school is 350 euro and 800 euro for a first year student at second level.

The Barnardos back to school study shows books and uniforms remain the single biggest expense for parents.

The children’s charity is criticising the government for it’s lack of effort in bringing down the cost of sending a child to school.
