The scrappage scheme continues to have a positive effect on car sales in the county.
New figures from motorcheck.ie show that there was a year on year rise of 67% last month, with 341 new cars registered.
Meanwhile Clare motorists continue to be environmentally conscious when buying new cars – just over 80% of them fall under the A or B tax brackets.

233 of the vehicles are diesels, while 13 ‘flexi-fuel’ and 3 hybrids were also registered here last month.
Nationwide, sales have risen by over 90 per cent with nearly 14000 cars registered in March.
