Over a hundred trained volunteers have been taking part in a major search along the banks of the
Shannon from Bunratty to Limerick for missing man Shane Moran.
The 20 year old from Anne Street in Limerick City was last seen on the 10th of January this year.
It’s believed he drowned after entering the water at Shannon Bridge.

The Sergeant in charge of the garda diving unit for 30 years Tosh Lavery is now co-ordinator of the Missing
Persons Helpline which has organised today’s operation with the assistance of local officers.
He says the searches this morning and tomorrow are the first of their kind in Ireland
