Gardaí in Kilrush say a man has been found following an early-morning multi-agency search.
The man is understood to have become disorientated while driving last evening, and this morning the Coast Guard helicopter joined Gardaí in searches of the South-West Clare area.
He was found at around 9:30, and airlifted to hospital.
